the formula is C= 2(3.14)r (the C stands for circumference and the r stands for radius) so you multiply 3.14 (pi) by the radius, then multiply that number by 2. if your radius was 12 inches, you'd multiply 3.14 x 12 = 37.68 then you'd multiply that by 2, giving you C= 75.36 inches
The circumferance is found by using the formula 2(r)(pi). r stands for the radius. The diameter, which is already given in the problem, is two time radius. Therefore the only thing you really have to do is multiple the diameter= 3 inches by pi. Circumferance is 9.425 inches.
The raduis. It's pi, r squared. the r stands for radius!
A lower case "r."
65 inches = 165.1 centimeters

The radius and circumference of a circle are related as C=2*pi*R (* stands for multiplication) where C is the circumference(=12 inches in the given case), R is the radius(to be found out) and 'pi' is a constant whose value is approximately 3.141592654. To find R the formula becomes R=C/(2*pi). Substituting 12 inches for C and the value of 'pi' we arrive at the following result: R or radius=12/(2*3.141592654)=1.909859317 inches.
I cannot imagine you could. both the radius and the height are considered in it's volume formula. this stands to reason as two cones of different radii can have the same volume, by the larger radius one having a smaller height and vice versa

The diameter of the rim is 45 cm so the radius stands at 22.5 cm.
Circumference: The perimeter of a circle I am just going to substitued & for the pi symbol. C stands for circumference The formulas you can use if you are given either the radius or diameter. C=&d (d stands for diameter) or C=2&r (r stands for radius) Since & is irrational, the number we use to calculate circumference is rounded to 3.14 or 22/7. So if the radius to a problem was 10, the formula would be... C=2(3.14 or 22/7)(10)
65 inches = 165.1 centimeters
