There are three types of fractions that are used in mathematics. The three types of fractions are, mixed fractions, proper fractions, and improper fractions.
Regular fractions are the fractions with a numerator that is less than the denominator and irregular fractions are fractions with a denominator less than the numerator.
Subtracting fractions is similar to adding fractions. If the fractions have the same denominator, you subtract the numerators. If the fractions have different denominators, you have to convert to a common denominator first.Subtracting fractions is similar to adding fractions. Like fractions have the same denominator, unlike fractions don't.
Decimals: Blood alcohol level, making change, Fractions: Musical time signatures, slicing pizza. Converting a big recipe into a smaller recipe. Percent: Sales tax. Interest on credit cards.
Since the Bible commands us to "abstain from blood" accepting blood fractions is left up to the conscience of the individual witness. Some are OK with fractions, considering them no longer blood. Others refuse them also. It seems unlikely a witness would donate their blood if it may be used for a transfusion (and therefore break God's law). So I assume blood fractions would have to come form blood donated from non-witnesses.

Your question would be an interesting one for a Witness to consider when making their decision on whether they would accept blood fractions or not in their medical treatment.
Blood is the combination of all the ingredients together. These smaller ingredients are not blood. Many of these are found in the food we eat every day. Many are found in vaccinations that our children have to get to attend school. These fractions are up to the individual to become informed and decide for themselves what they will do.
Themselves of course. THey chose to have fractions or not with their concious.
Yes, to calculate weight, height, blood pressure, and heart rates.

What is Blood fractions. Fractions are derived from the four primary blood components-red cells, white cells, platelets, and plasma. For example, red cells contain the protein hemoglobin. Products developed from human or animal hemoglobin have been used to treat patients who have acute anemia or massive blood loss.Should Christians accept therapies incorporating blood fractions? The Bible does not give specific details, so each one must make his own conscientious decision before God. Some would refuse all fractions, reasoning that God's Law to Israel required that blood removed from a creature be "[poured] out upon the ground." (Deuteronomy 12:22-24) Others, while refusing transfusions of whole blood or its major components, might accept treatments involving a fraction. They may reason that at some point fractions that have been extracted from blood cease to represent the life of the creature from which the blood was taken.Source: Watchtower Library 2008;"Keep Yourselves in God's Love"
