Frequency distributions can:
C condense and summarize large amounts of data in a useful format
C describe all variable types
C facilitate graphic presentation of data
C begin to identify population characteristics
C permit cautious comparison of data sets
One advantage of using normal distribution is that there are less errors. A disadvantage of normal distribution is that it can not be interpreted to terms of probabilities.

Are you talking about a histogram of the relative frequency distribution.
What are the importance of frequency
The relative frequency of a class is the frequency of the class divided by the total number of frequencies of the class and is generally expresses as a percentage.
to make patterns easier to determine
Organizing the data into a frequency distribution may make patterns within the data more evident.
It is derived frequency distribution. XD
A frequency distribution lists each value in the distribution and the number times it appears, while a relative frequency distribution reports the proportion of cases reporting each value
The advantage of a grouped frequency distribution is that it is small enough for you to get a pretty good idea at a glance how the scores are distributed. The disadvantage is that you are lumping scores together, thus losing some of the information in the original scores.
Cumulative Frequency is The total of a frequency and all frequencies so far in a frequency distribution. It is the 'running total' of frequencies in the frequency distribution table.

Dunno but would be helpful if someone knew cause Im in maths and need to know
What are the disadvantages of frequency distribution tables
Advantages 1. C.F curves can be use to read off values both way round 2. The original information from a grouped frequency distribution can be onbtained from the C.F curves I dunno any disadvantages!!
A test using relative errors comparing a frequency table to the expected counts determined using a given probability distribution; the null hypothesis is that the given probability distribution fits the data's distribution.
