So we are trying to solve this problem:

n + (n+1) + (n+2)+ (n+3) = 162

This can be rewritten as

4n + 6 = 162

4n= 156

n=39

Plug that back in to the equation and you get:

39 + (39+1) + (39+2) + 39+3 = 162 or

39 +40 + 41 + 42 = 162
