A tally graph consists of several key parts: the title, which describes the data being represented; the categories or labels, which indicate the different groups or items being measured; the tally marks, which visually represent the frequency of each category; and the axis, where the tally marks are aligned, often with numerical values to provide a clear scale for interpretation. Together, these elements help effectively convey quantitative information in a simple and organized manner.

How does a tally chart can help you to display data?

A Tally chart helps you display data by counting the number of something that you did to display data. For example, how many Chlorophyll samples you got or how many grass samples you collected. You could call your tally chart a name like Plant/Insect Samples or something like that. I don't agree that you should display data on a tally chart but you can with my way. You should probably do a bar graph if you are counting (that's basically the same thing as a tally chart would do for you), line graph if you measuring the growth of something, a pictograph if your trying to show people something, a circle graph if your going to measure how many people like something or something like that. If you are going to be counting something, be sure to use a tally chart or bar graph. If you have any more questions about graphing, be sure to post them.
