The Morse Code
Literal numbers are the letters which are used to represent a number.
The system of dots and lines used to represent numbers and letters in telegraphy is known as Morse code, developed by Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail in the early 1830s. Morse code assigns short signals (dots) and long signals (dashes) to different letters and numbers, allowing for communication over telegraph wires. This method revolutionized long-distance communication by enabling messages to be transmitted quickly and efficiently.
Variables (letters like x and y)
In mathematical equations letters of the alphabet are used to represent numbers. Letters in the beginning of the alphabet, a, b, c...,etc typically represent Constants. Letters at the end, x, y, z..typically represent Unknowns, or variables.
Algebra is a part of mathematics in which letters and other symbols are used to represent numbers and quantities in formulas and equations.

There are many different systems of using numbers to represent letters. Binary is commonly used.
The letters of the Greek alphabet, Alpha, Beta, Gamma etc., etc. both upper and lower cases, were used to represent numbers

Roman numerals represent numbers using a combination of capital letters such as I, V, X, L, C, D, and M. These letters are used in place of Arabic numerals to indicate numerical values.
it is easier to substitute them for letters because if we used numbers then constants (numbers in algebra that don't have letters) would get mixed up with the algebraic letters. also makes things easier to read and to understand. also, if you don't have all the information, you can use letters to represent what you don't know
In numerology, the letters in a person's name represent numbers which are used to calculate that person's number.
Algebra is a part of mathematics in which letters and other symbols are used to represent numbers and quantities in formulas and equations.
words and maths...hm Well if you mean letters in math then they are pro numerals, which are used in algebra to represent numbers. Words in maths may represent numbers also, otherwise i am unsure
the part of mathematics in which letters and other general symbols are used to represent numbers and quantities in formulae and equations.
