This is a trick question, isn't it?

But let's start with the not-so-obvious :

-20 -4x -6x

-4x -6x ... you substract one negative term from another negative term.... so it gets more negative. -4x -6x =-10x

So you could also write -20 -10x .... too complicated of course.

Just divide it by 10 and you end up with -2 -x

Now you might see the problem ... the obvious problem.

It's not an equation.

An equation would be something like -2 -x = 0 (just for example, of course)

In this case you would solve it with -x = 2 -> x = -2

This is an equation. Your's is not.
