Adding/Subtracting
When adding and subtracting two numbers with different signs, you always follow this rule:
If the negative is before the positive number, then switch them
-5+4 to 4-5
4-5 is -1.
You could also switch the signs from -5+4 to 5-4
you end up with one, but the answer will have the same sign as the larger number.
So you still end up with -1.
If the positive number is before the negative, Ex:
6+-2
and the larger number is the positive number, you follow the "Keep it. Change it. Change it." Rule.
Keep the 6.
Change the + to -
Change the -2 to a +2, also written as 2
So, 6-2.
answer would be 4.
4 + 5 + 8 is equal to 17
3 plus 4 is 7, not 5.
4 plus 6 times 5 is equal to 34.
-5-1 plus 4 plus 2-6 plus 4 is equal to -2
4 + (-5) = -1
4 + 5 + 8 is equal to 17
3 plus 4 is 7, not 5.
The problem of -5 plus 7 - (-4 plus -12) is equal to 18.
4
It is: -5+10+11-4 = 12
4 plus 6 times 5 is equal to 34.
5
-5-1 plus 4 plus 2-6 plus 4 is equal to -2
4 + (-5) = -1
-4 minus 8 plus 5 is equal to -7
3x plus -5 equal 7. so x is 4 so 3times 4 is 12-5 will equal 7.
No, 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 15.
