HELLZ YA what if it were something like this: 0=(9x-4)^1/2 if there were no parenthesis the answer would be totally different you have to distribute the exponent. in this case, the exponent is a fraction meaning you actually take the root
parenthesis, exponent, multiplication, division, addition, subtraction
BIDMAS which is sometimes called BODMAS
P is for parenthesis E is for exponent M is for multiplication D is for division A is for addition S is for subtraction...
Do the work inside the parenthesis first.

The rules of PEMDAS are 1. Parenthesis anything in them you do first. 2. Exponents those little numbers next to the number telling you to multiply the number by itself a certain number of times 3. Multiplication and Division whichever comes first and 4. Addition and Subtraction whichever comes first. If there is an exponent next to parenthesis but there is no number that means the answer to the parenthesis has to be the thing that the exponent is next to. All of the rules apply inside of the parenthesis as well. If there is a number next to the parenthesis not followed by a symbol multiply the answer to the parenthesis by that number.
First of all, its PEMDAS.And its:-Parenthesis.-exponent.-multiplication.-division.-addition.-subtraction.

3(4*5) Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally Parenthesis Exponent Multiply Divide Add Subtract No, inside parenthesis takes the cake on this one before the outside occurs.
Do the work inside the parenthesis first.
Subtraction. Remeber it's PEMDAS. Parenthesis, Exponent, Multiplication, Division, Addition and Subtraction.
