greater than > less than < The small end points to the smaller value.
Betting if the score is going to be over a set number of points, or under that set of points. Example: Gamblers may set the New England/Indianapolis game at 45 points. This could be referred to as 'the over/under for the Patriots/Colts game is 45 points'. The bettor will then decide if the total points scored in the game will be more than 45 points or less than 45 points. If the bettor decides that less than 45 points will be scored, they will bet the 'under'. If the bettor decides that more than 45 points will be scored, they will bet the 'over'.

That you have less money to spend than the average person
Choose a number that is less than -5; for example, -10 (or, if you mean "less in absolute value", for example -2), choose two or three points for that slope, then draw the line through those points.
If Edward gets 1300 points two times less Than William's means one thing. It means that Edward is losing to William.
Par is taken as an average. Blow par means less than average, or not so good.

An outlier does affect the mean of the data. How it's affected depends on how many data points there are, how far from the data the outlier is, whether it is greater than the mean (increases mean) or less than the mean (decreases the mean).

An* outlier is a number that is much, much greater or much, much less than all/most of the other points. Basically the one that messes up the average, so usually outliers are counted out when finding the mean of a set.
If you mean "portable fire extinguisher" they cannot be more than 40 pounds and the average is closer to 10 or less.
