Do you mean quadrant?

if you set up a graph with the origin in the middle (0,0) and the x-axis moves outwardly to the left and right and the y-axis moves vertically - both from the origin, then you will notice that the paper is divided into 4 areas.

each area is called a quadrant.

the upper right quadrant where both x and y are positive is called the first quadrant (Q1).

the rest are numbered 2, 3 and 4 moving in a counter clockwise direction.

Q2 is left of Q1.

Q3 is beneath Q2.

Q4 is to the right of Q3 (or underneath Q1)
