Any number that is a decimal is smaller that 1. Answer: doesn't exist. Now, if you multiply by a fraction that is different.
--------------------------------
Um I dont fully understand what is said above but when you divide a whole number by a decimal, the answer tends to be smaller than the original whole number.
e.g:
50 divided by 0.5 = 25.
0.5 can be referred to as 0.50, 50/100 or 1/2. so it is halfing 50. hope that makes sense. if it doesnt, message me...if you are a member anyhow.
It can increase, decrease or stay the same depending on what you multiply it by.
It increases.
When you multiply a positive number by a number greater than 1, the result is a larger positive number. This is because multiplying by a number greater than 1 increases the value of the original positive number. For example, multiplying 5 by 2 results in 10, which is greater than 5. Thus, the operation effectively scales the positive number up.
When you multiply a positive number by a number greater than one, the result is a larger positive number. This is because the operation effectively increases the original number. For example, multiplying 3 by 2 results in 6, which is greater than 3. Thus, the product will always exceed the original positive number.
Fraction refers to the amount to the right of the decimal point (amounts of less than 1), so if you multiply any (positive) number by a fraction its value will be reduced.
You get a positive number which is larger than the original.
It can increase, decrease or stay the same depending on what you multiply it by.

It increases.
A positive number is a number greater than zero. Therefore: 5 x 2 = 10 is one example.
Fraction refers to the amount to the right of the decimal point (amounts of less than 1), so if you multiply any (positive) number by a fraction its value will be reduced.
You usually get another number!
It decreases.
It equals a negitive
nothing it will always be positive.
When you multiply by 100, the decimal moves two places to the right. For example, 2.554 x 100 = 255.4.
The product is positive.
