2/3 and 1/2

(2/3) / (1/2) = 11/3 ≈ 1.33
"of" (as in BODMAS) I was taught meant times , as is 50% of 30 is 50% x 30, so:

2/3 of 1/2 = 2/3 x 1/2
= 1/3
≈ 0.33

What is 1 of 2 - 1 of 3 equals?

There is some ambiguity in the use of "of". If 1 of 2 = 2, and 1 of 3 = 3 then 1 of 2 - 1 of 3 = -1 Alternatively, 1/2 - 1/3 = 3/6 - 2/6 = 1/6
