The identity property of multiplication, also called the multiplication property of one says that a number does not change when that number is multiplied by 1.

Examples

3 × 1 = 3

10 × 1 = 10

6 × 1 = 6

68 × 1 = 68

1 × 4 = 4

1 × -9 = - 9

x × 1 = x

(a + b) × 1 = a + b

1 * 5 = 5 * 1 = 5 is an example of the IDENTITY property. I am not aware of anything such as an identical property of multiplication.
