I think you are asking what the definition of divisible is...

Divisible means "dividable by with the result being a whole integer" A whole integer means that there is nothing left over after the divide operation.

Integers are 0, 1, 2, 3 etc... 0.1 or 0.5 or 1/7 or 1/2 are NOT integers.

So for example:

8, 12 and 16 are divisible by 4. The results are 2, 3 and 4.

7, 8 and 15 are not because if you divide any of them by 4, there will be a remainder or some "left over parts" in addition to the integer part.
