Many equivalent fractions can be formed by multiplying both the numerator and denominator by the same number.

If 5 out of 18 is expressed as a fraction then 5/18 = 10/36 = 15/54....and so on.

It can also be expressed as a decimal fraction, 5/18 = 0.2778 (4dp)

The expression can also be stated as a percentage.

To find the percentage of one number in relation to another number then divide the relative number (in this case 5) by the base number (in this case 18) and multiply the result by 100.

If 5 out of 18 is expressed as a percentage then, 100 x 5/18 = 27.78% (2dp)
