Best Answer

4/5 + 2/15

Addition of fractions.

Step to take.

#1 ; Bring to a Common denominator; 15 in this case.

#2 ; Bring the numerators to the equaivalent values.

#3 ; Add the numerators.

#4 ; Place the numertor over the denominator

#5 ; Reduce to a mixed fraction.

Hence

#1 ; 3 X 5 = 15 & 15

#2 ; 3 x 4 = 12

#3 ; 12 + 2 = 14

#4 ; 14/15

#5 ; Cannoty reduce as alrerady in its simplest form .

Hence the answer is 14/15.

NB For subtraction of fractions it is exactly the same, except step #3, where the numerators are subtracted.
