3.14159 26535 89792 That's as far as this contributor knows it. It has been worked out and published to over 1,000 decimal places. It never comes out even ... the decimal never ends. That's why it's called an "irrational" number, and represented by a symbol. The form you gave in your question is better than you will ever require in any numerical calculation. It will limit the error in your answer to less than 7 parts in 10 billion.
You should know pi because of math. You need pi when you are dealing with circles. The only thing you really need to know about pi is 3.14 though.
You should like pi. If we didn't have pi, it would be nearly impossible to know the circumference of a circle or sphere!
As far as I know, the constant pi is never used in the plural form.
C = pi d d= C/pi
Since circumference of a circle is C = 2*pi*r where r is the radius, we know that 37.68 = 2*pi*r, so r = 37.68/(2*pi). Thus, we know that the area of the circle is A = pi*r^2 = pi*(37.68/(2*pi))^2, or 112.983.
The next pi day is on Saturday. Which is March 14, 2009.

pi is 3.14159265...............that is all i know
These are the decimal digits if pi, next two are "53".
3 / 14 / 2013
Easy. If you only have the circumference, divide it by Pi (about 3.1416). This gives you the diameter. Next, divide the diameter by two to get the radius.
3.14159 this is how far i know it.
If you know the diameter, multiply it by pi. If you know the radius, multiply it by 2xpi. Pi is approximately 3.1416.

Pi = 3.14159.....I don't know the rest of the digit's.
