A polynomial is one possible answer.
That will be difficult to answer without seeing the expression. Best guess: One less than the number of terms in the expression.
It is called a "binomial."
Basically, a rational expression is one that can be written as one polynomial, divided by another polynomial.

its the transplantation of one thing to another.
No such thing! (On official terms. It may be something coined by one coach or another!)
Think about this and you can figure it out. An idiom seems to mean one thing but actually means another. Does "with regard" mean just what it seems to? Yes, it does. Therefore, this phrase is not an idiomatic expression.

The actual definition of Addition is when you total the amount of objects you have in your possession. So when you take the addition of one thing to another, you have x + y. x, being the one thing, y being another. In simple terms. If Another and One Thing are the same object, then you could also say this... x + x = 2x. Meaning, you have two of those things in your possession. Hopefully this helps.

It's not. it is an algebraic expression (or a polynomial) containing TWO terms that are not like terms. You can notice it easily in the word itself, "bi" means two.
