"Meter" is a unit of length or distance, as of a piece of rope or a trip to the office.

"Cubic meter" is a unit of volume or capacity, as of a bottle or a balloon. The two

units have different physical dimensions, they're used to measure different kinds

of quantities, and neither one can be converted into the other one. If length and

volume units could be converted to each other, then it would be possible for you

to calculate how many liters tall you are, or how many centimeters of tea you

drank yesterday.
