as an echocardiographic technician for 30 years, I've calculated EFs in the single digits rarely....8% or 9%. These were very sick patients, who were probably on death's doorstep.

What does a half life fraction look like?

A half life may or may not be a fraction. The half life of carbon 14, for example, is 5715 years - not really a fraction, unless you are thinking in terms time periods which are much longer than a year.

How is gravitational energy used in every day life?

You stay on the earth. Without it you would fly off into space and die because the atmosphere will be too thin to sustain life.

An expression that uses words to represent a real-life situation?

Fraction!

How do you do Addition and subtraction of dissimilar fractions?

you just undissimilarize them. No just kidding. You need to find LCD, lowest common denominator. If you are too lazy, then just multiply the two denominators together. Basically, you take one denominator from fraction "A", and multiply that value to numerator and denominator of fraction "B". Do the same with Denominator "B" to fraction "A". Once you have the same denominator, you can add or subtract your numerators. If you are doing a homework assignment and you are in 7th grade or below, you MUST reduce or else you will lose points. But if you're in anything beyond Algebra, nobody remotely cares about reducing fractions. Fraction reduction barely even matters in real life, since real practical science/engineering calculations are done in decimal points. In calculus, there's a TON of fraction work, but again none of that matters in real life because most calculus problems in real life are done numerically with decimals.

Is fraction important in real life situations?

yes because if there were no fractions there will be nothing.

What is ejection fraction of the heart?

Ejection fraction is a measure of how much blood your heart is effectively pumping. It's actually the measure of the blood contained in your ventricles when they're full (end diastolic volume nor EDV) and the amount remaining in the ventricles after pumping is entirely completed (end systolic volume). So the jection fraction is the amount of blood pumped divided by the EDV and expressed as a fraction Larger numbers are usually better. 50-60% is healthy.
