you just undissimilarize them.
No just kidding. You need to find LCD, lowest common denominator. If you are too lazy, then just multiply the two denominators together. Basically, you take one denominator from fraction "A", and multiply that value to numerator and denominator of fraction "B". Do the same with Denominator "B" to fraction "A". Once you have the same denominator, you can add or subtract your numerators.
If you are doing a homework assignment and you are in 7th grade or below, you MUST reduce or else you will lose points. But if you're in anything beyond Algebra, nobody remotely cares about reducing fractions. Fraction reduction barely even matters in real life, since real practical science/engineering calculations are done in decimal points. In calculus, there's a TON of fraction work, but again none of that matters in real life because most calculus problems in real life are done numerically with decimals.
It is an instruction for you to carry out the arithmetic operation of subtraction on fractions whose denominators are not the same.
In subtraction you take away rather than add. Also, addition is commutative, subtraction is not so the order of the numbers does matter for subtraction.
It assists in the proper addition and subtraction of fractions.
Similar fractions are fractions with the same denominator. In order to add or subtract fractions they need to be similar.
yeah~!! fractions are 2 between the symbol of subtraction or addition to multiply the single denominator not the married denominator or either the in a relationship numerator... ehehhehehe hope it helped ~ BOLD

Addition or subtraction of fractions require "like" fractions: that is, fractions with the same denominator.
Dissimilar fractions are fractions that have different denominators.
You don't. You use the GCF to reduce the answer once the addition or subtraction is complete.

Dissimilar fractions may or may not be proper fractions.
