It is a linear combination of positive integer powers of one variable, eg x.

Powers of x are x multiplied by iteslf a number of times, eg x square (x2) or x to the power 6 (x6). The largest power of x is the degree of the polynomial.

A linear combination is a sum of terms each of which is a numerical multiple of these powers of x, eg 3x2 or 2.5x3. The coefficients of the powers of x may be integers, rationals, reals etc.

What is the meaning of the algebra term cofficient?

In the equation 2x = 6 the coefficent of x is 2

What is the polynomial of 2 x?

this term 2x is not a polynomial. this term is a monomial. since only one term was listed it can not be a polynomial. A polynomial is like four or more terms. a trinomial is three terms and a binomial is two terms.

In algebra what does gef stand for?

In algebra, "gef" does not have a standard or widely recognized meaning or acronym. It is possible that "gef" could be a typo or a misinterpretation of a mathematical concept or term. It is important to provide more context or clarify the term in order to determine its meaning in the context of algebra.
