It represents "part of one hundred" The ratio of any two numbers is expressed by expanding (or reducing) the denominator of the fraction to 100. The resulting numerator is the "percent". For example, if on a quiz you got 7 out of 10 answers correct ( 7 of 10 or 7/10) Expand the fraction to make the denominator 100. (multiply the denominator by 10) Then multiply the numerator by 10. The ratio stays the same but is now 70/100. You scored 70%
Incorrect. Just try it out, with some amount, and see what you get. For example, if you start with 100 dollars, you end up with 99 dollars.
To calculate your grade, first find out how many questions you got right by subtracting the wrong answers from the total: 60 - 10 = 50 correct answers. Then, divide the number of correct answers by the total number of questions: 50/60 = 0.8333. To express this as a percentage, multiply by 100, which gives you a grade of approximately 83.33%.
pi is the square root of ten ---------- Incorrect. Pi is the mathematical ratio between the circumference and the diameter of a circle. Coincidentally, it is also the ratio between the area of a circle and the square of its radius. The square root to 10 is ~3.16227766, while Pi is ~3.1415926535897932
5 incorrect answers and 15 correct answers
80%=80/100 80/100 x 50 questions = 40 correct answers. therefore 50 - 40 = 10 incorrect answers.
Correct because 18+10 = 28
Not by a long shot. Many of the answers are profanity. Some of the answers are from people who mean well, but, their information is totally wrong. I would look for a second opinion after getting an answer here. I would say about 50% of the answers are correct, 15% are completely incorrect, and 10% are insulting obscenity.
% rate of correct answers = 9/10 or 0%
% of correct answers if the correct a nd your mistakes have the same rati ng = 3/10 * 100% = 30%

none of the answers are correct
Three fourths = 3/4 First find one fourth (one quarter) by dividing by four. 40/4 is 10. Then find three fourths by multiplying by three. 10 x 3 = 30. 3/4 of 40 is 30. 30 answers were correct.

This is correct. It is awkward, but that's the way it works. I may say, "Congratulations on 10 years of service." This eliminates the apostrophe problem and sounds more fluid.
