∙ 6y agoThe browser used for posting questions on this site is rubbish. It is quite useless for mathematics since it strips out most symbols so that we cannot tell what the question is meant to be. Here, all that I can see of the equation is "2x and ndash8y32" : no equals sign! I am assuming that you meant 2x - 8y = 32.
The slope intercept form is y = 1/4*x - 4

aX+bY+cZ=0 Is a type of linear equation.
There is one form of linear equation that is not a function, and that is when x = c, where c is a constant.
A linear equation is that equation in which a variable or variables has exponent equal to 1. For example, standard form of linear equation in one variable: a1x + a2x +.......+ anx = c Standard form of a linear equation : a1x + a2x +.........+ anx = c e.g. 4x + 3 =6, 3x + 6y + 5z = 2 etc.
The equations are equivalent.
y = 2x + 1.

Y = 5X - 3It form a linear function; a line.

x = 1
A linear equation has the form of mx + b, while a quadratic equation's form is ax2+bx+c. Also, a linear equation's graph forms a line, while a quadratic equation's graph forms a parabola.

An equation of direct linear proportionality.
The equations are equivalent.
A linear equation always has a degree of one because the slope has to be constant to form a line. So, x + 7 is linear, 7 - x is linear, 4x - 3.7 is linear, but anything with x2 , etc. is not linear.
Ax + By = C
