How do you divide a circle into five parts just using three lines?

a)Draw a line thru the center intersecting 2 points on either sides of the circle b)Using radius of the same circle, draw 2 arcs in both intersecting points. Along with the straight line, this will cut out 4 sectors, with the rest of the circle sum to get for the 5th portion.

What is the axis symmetry of a letter?

A line that divides the letter so that the 2 halves are mirror images. Ex. The letter V ... A vertical line thru the bottom makes 2 parts that are mirror images, so that vertical line is the axis of symmetry. But.. A Capital E would not have a vertical axis of symmetry. Capital E would have a horizontal line splitting thru the middle line as its axis of symmetry.

How do you graph quadratic expressions?

pretend they = y factor to find x intercepts if they exist, sub 0 for x and find the y-intercept pick a few extra x values, calculate y-values to get a table of values. plot the points from the table. Draw a curve thru the points.

How do you find the middle point of a circular flat object?

draw a square within the circle then draw a straight line between the two sets of opposite corners and where those lines cross is where the center of the circle is. pick ne 3 points on the perimenter of the circle..... join the 1st point to the 2nd wit a straight line & the 2nd point to the 3rd.... bisect these 2 lines with a compass or simply find the midpoint of the lines.... if u hav bisected the lines draw a strange line thru the 2 points where the arcs cross and where the 2 lines meet is the centre point.... if u got the midpoints of the 2 lines just draw a pendicular line from the midpoint of both lines & again the centre is where the 2 lines meet.... (both methods are the same realie only 4 the fact that bisecting is more accurate!!!)

Why do they put a line though the number seven?

This is just to make it easier to tell a 7 with a short top bar from a 1. In French, the number 1 has an exaggerated upstroke (line from left) rather than a single vertical line, and the crossbar is often required to tell a 1 and 7 apart. Similarly, a line may be placed diagonally thru a zero (0) to differentiate it from a capital O : ∅. But in Danish, the exact opposite is done, where a line indicates a capital o (Ø).
