There aren't. A square foot is a flat measurement (think of a floor tile), and a cubic foot is a volume (think cube). If you have floor tiles that are 12" each side and you lay down a rectangle of 18 x 16 tiles this would give you 288 sq ft. Now if you placed a 12" high cube on top of each tile you would have 288 cubic feet.
