circumference = pi x diameter = 3.1416 x 8mm = 25.13mm (approx)
You do not specify if the 8 mm is the circumference, diameter or radius. Please clarify.
D = 8mm = Pi/6 x D3 = Pi/6 x 512 = 268.1 cubic millimetres (rounded).
8mm is a little wider.
8mm = 0.026 feet.
Historically, pencils were made with a diameter of around 7-8mm. Nowadays, standard-sized pencils typically have a diameter of 6-7mm.
7mm refers to the diameter of the bushings, which align the gears in their positions. They generally fire 6mm (approx.) projectiles. 7mm BBs are nonexistant or extremely uncommon. 8mm-bushing gearboxes also exist, though they are slighly less common. Gearboxes that fire 8mm BBs (bushing size irrelevant) exist, though are fairly uncommon.
8mm
If the diameter is 16mm, then the radius is diameter/2 = 8mm.
Yes. It matters a great deal.
For all practical purposes an 8mm drill is equal to 5/16 inch.
