∙ 12y agoTo find the length of a diagonal in a rectangle, use the Pythagorean method. Diagonal length = square root(length squared + height squared).
Assuming you're talking about a rectangle: Diagonal squared = length squared + width squared (Pythagoras) so: Length squared = diagonal squared - width squared ie length = sqrt (diagonal squared - width squared)
Area of a rectangle = length * width = 72 feet-squared

This question is impossible to answer because the possible length and width of the rectangle could be 15 cm and 4 cm respectively but 15*4 = 60 cm squared and not 60 m squared.
