None. The minimal vertex set from which you can construct a poly-n-chora is the n-simplex, or some deformation thereof, with n+1 vertices, as any n points fall in a single flat n-surface (that is unique unless the three points happen to also fall in the same n-1-surface).

Why is a dodecahedron a polyhedron?

A polyhedron is a simply connected 3-dimensional simply connected shape which is bounded by polygonal faces. A dodecahedron is a special case of a polyhedron: it is a polyhedron with 12 faces.

Is a heptagon a polyhedron?

No, because a polyhedron is a solid with many flat faces. A heptagon is not a 3-D figure. However, a pyramid or prism would be a polyhedron.

Is A Polygon An Polyhedron?

Nope - A polygon is a flat, 2-dimensional shape. A Polyhedron is a 3-dimensional shape.

What do you call a 3-D octagon shape?

As far as I am aware, there is no polyhedron (3-d figure) whose faces are all octagons. As far as I am aware, there is no polyhedron (3-d figure) whose faces are all octagons.
