Rectangular pyramids and triangular pyramids both have triangular faces.
They both have sides that are rectangular in shape. They both have a constant cross-sectional shape equal to the shape of the ends (triangle for a triangular prism; rectangle for a rectangular prism).
They are both polyhedra with five faces.
A cuboid (rectangular prism) is the only shape with 6 rectangular faces (3 pairs of rectangles in fact). A cube is a special type of cuboid where all the rectangles are squares. Both cubes and cuboids are special types of hexahedron (polyhedrons with 6 faces). The only shape with 6 equal rectangular faces is the hexagonal prism. However, since it also has two hexagonal faces it is therefore an irregular octahedron rather than a hexahedron.

The answer is both. A rectangular prism will have two triangular bases, with three rectangles forming the sides that connect the sides of the triangles together. Like this: . . . . . . / \ \ / \ \ / . . \ . . . .\
You cannot because there is no object. Both "rectangular" and "triangular" are adjectives, there is no noun! Rectangular, triangular what? The question is like asking how tall is the broad green? they are both solid shapes they both have a rectangle they are both prisms they are both bounded by plane polygonal faces hope this helps :)
A cuboid is a 3D shape that can be a cube or a rectangle, both having 2 ends, 2 sides, and a top and a bottom face.
they are both types of pyramidsThey're both triangular pyramids, and all of them have a base, multiple faces, and at one end the faces come to a point.* * * * *They are NOT both triangular pyramids!

They are both prisms.
No they are not. Apart from being (3-dimensional) polyhedra, their only similarity is the fact that a rectangular pyramid has a rectangular face and so has a rectangular prism. But a rectangular pyramid has only one, the remaining four faces are triangular. On the other hand, a rectangular prism has only rectangular faces - 6 of them. I guess that is like saying a human is like half a chair because they both have two legs! They are both 3-d objects and they are similar in this one respect even though in every other respect they are different.
