The impact speed for each car is 50 mph. During the crash, both cars are accelerated from a speed of 50 mph to zero, hence the impact speed is 50 mph. The relative speed between each car, however, is 100 mph.

When you say consequences they are all positive. When you say impact, they may be positive or negative, such as positive impact or negative impact. But we don't use phrases like positive consequence or negative consequence. But there are surely positive and negative impacts! What do you say?
Well the negitive impact would be overall less trees and the positive impact would be overall more toilet paper.
