This question is equivalent to the statement (x/5)=7.2
Multiply both sides to get x=36.
So 36 / 5 = 7.2

36
if you want to know why then read on.
x/y=z
if in this calculation we know two of the unknown terms then we can always work out the two by using several, obvious methods reversing the process and revealing the unknown.
In my examples:
x=10 y=5 z=2
x=10 y=5 z=??? x/y=z 10/5=2
where z is unknown it is a simple regular sum.
x=10 y=??? z=2 x/z=y 10/2=5
where y is unknown we divide x by z instead to get y, because of one of the fundamental laws of standard mathematics (x*y=y*x SO if z/y=x then z/x=y)
x=??? y=5 z=2 y*z=x 5*2=10
Where x is unknown you can multiply y by z to get x, by simply reversing the sum, a very basic mathematical action
This is quite simple and easy (and unfortunately explained quite complicatedly), but leads to some important fundamental rules of arithmetic
Suppose the number is x Then number diminished by 5 is (x-5) Six times the number diminished by 5 is 6*(x-5) So 6*(x-5) = 72 Divide both sides by 6: (x-5) = 12 Add 5 to both sides: x = 17
Divide 60 by 72 - (60/72 = 5/6 in lowest terms). 5/6 = 83%.
72 degrees each. There are 5 angles. You divide 360 degrees by 5 and get 72 degrees.
The reciprocal of 72 is 1/72 because 72 x 1/72 is 1.
Yes it is. If you divide 360 by 5, you would get 72.
To divide a circle into 5 equal parts, you would first need to draw a horizontal line passing through the center of the circle. Next, draw two diagonal lines from the top and bottom of the circle to the center point where the horizontal line intersects. This will create 5 equal parts within the circle, each measuring 72 degrees.
Factorization of 725 will not divide evenly in 72, so it is not in the factorization. An easy way to know if a number is divisible by 5 is to look at the digit in the ones place. If it is 0 or 5, it is divisible by 5. If any other number is in the one's place, the number is not divisible by 5.
this does not make sense. What number?

Yes it is. If you divide 360 by 5, you would get 72.
Yes
divide both sides by 9 45/9 = 5 72/9 = 8 45/72 = 5/8 five eighths

It depends on what you want to do with it. If you want to divide by 8, I would stick with 72. If you want to divide by 5, I'd go for 70 or even 72.5
