You are right for asking that question. most people think that algebra is important to society and technology, and drugs. but how often do you need to use a graph and take 3 painful minutes just to figure out meaningless information you could have gotten without it. It is completely useless for higher education, and the leaders of the school boards are blind stubborn morons for thinking any teenager is going to willingly accept it and learn it. it should not be a college prep course but instead an optional course in college for people wanting to go into areas of science and math. THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS algebra is for some but mostly useless.
its not even good bro its a waste of high school time, and your guessing its not used for anything but making people fall asleep.
Algebra exists to find solutions
Islamic algebra is the same as regular algebra. just like Arabic numerals is the same as 1 2 3. why is algebra important today? there is no difference between these questions.
Algebra was not an important invention to Islam as a religion. It was an important invention in mathematics that was discovered by a Muslim (Al-Khwarizmi). Algebra is important in mathematics because it establishes the ability to perform mathematical operations even if some or all of the quantities are unknown.
Geometry is like a block from Algebra 1 to Algebra 2 and it contributes by teaching you the basics of the things you will learn in Algebra 2.
No but it is important. And so is spelling!

It can be argued that Algebra is not important because it helps abstract thinking, which can lead to changes in our daily lives that are negative, but that is shaky as it is, and Algebra is undebatable used by everyone subconsciously from the youngest years of childhood.
