A single line is not sufficient to define a plane. You can find a plane such that the line is in it. But if you then rotate the plane using that line as the axis of rotation, you can get an infinite number of planes such that the line belongs to each and every one of the planes.

What is an antonym for skew lines?

Parallel Lines - Skew lines are lines that do not intersect and do not lie in the same plane. If two lines lie in the same plane they they must either intersect or they are parallel.

If two lines do not intersect must they be parallel?

If the two lines lie in the same plane, and they do not intersect, then they are parallel. If they are not in the same plane, and do not intersect, then they are called skew lines.

What does a polygon need to be a polygon?

It must be a plane figure. It must be closed. It must be bounded by straight lines. These straight lines must not cross one another.

Two lines that do not intersect and are in different planes?

They are skew lines. Two parallel lines must be in the same plane.

Will perpendular lines on the same plane ever touch?

Of course. Any lines in the same plane (if extended far enough) that are not parallel must intersect.

Are skew lines in the same plane?

No. Skew lines must be in different planes. Skew lines have no common points (they never cross).

Can two lines make a plane if they intersect at point?

Any two lines that meet must be in a plane. The plane may not necessarily be horizontal or vertical such as X-Y or X-Z or Y-Z

Three lines that intersect at the same point must all be in the same plane?

no

What is a true statement about skew lines?

Answer is a skew lines do not lie in the same place

Non-intersecting lines in different planes are?

They are called skew lines. Explanation: In 3 space, parallel lines must never intersect AND must be in the same plane. If they fail to intersect and are in different planes we call them skew lines.

What is the difference from marking 1 or 2 line in a congruent figure to show its congruent?

What are the 3 requirements to a polygon?

A polygon must be a plane, closed figure bounded by straight lines.
