For primary school (elementary) students, you should have a goal of learning your multiplication tables. For secondary school (high school) students, you should have a goal of mastering algebra.
well at my school our sixth graders learn pre algebra allready so i would say algebra part 1
I am in 7th grade and I am learning pre-algebra but in my school we learn a grade ahead so I think its not normal for people to learn pre-algebra in 7th grade, but its possible.

If you want to be in Algebra in Middle School that badly then I would say deal. If you really hate it then you should stop taking that class, if you can.
