It could be the capacity of a coffee cup.

millimeters * * * * * No. Millilitres for capacity. Millimetres is for length!

Yes a teaspoon would be good to measure capacity of a milk carton. This is because density of milk is so close to that of water.

Any unit of volume will do the job, but the cup, pint, fluid ounce, or liter will most likely produce the most convenient number.
Many containers and cartons of volume are measured in millilitres; a teaspoon is traditionally 5mL, so as a unit to measure capacity: yes, they are good. However, in a 2 litre bottle (common size) there are 2000/5 = 400 teaspoons. While this is easy enough to write on the label - indeed, soft drink cans are often 355 mL, so there is no real difference bar that of unit - it is extremely difficult to measure out 400 teaspoons accurately. As a way to fill that capacity (i.e. "measure it out"): no, they are terible.
For a carton to drink while on the go, it would be a millilitre (or centilitre). For larger cartons it would be a litre.
Millilitres is the standard. - 5 to a teaspoon.
Any volume units are feasible, but it would usually be measured (in metric at least) in millilitres. It may be measured (or even defined) as 5 ml, or 1/6 of a US fluid ounce, depending on where in the world you are.

you would use gallons to measure the capacity of a bathtub
Yes, you would.
