∙ 14y agoYou need to put these equations into the slope-intercept form (y = mx + b) so you can read the slope and y-intercept.
2x - 5y = 12 4y + 24 = 5x
-5y = -2x + 12 4y = 5x - 24
y = 2/5x - 12/5 y = 5/4x - 6
slope m = 2/5 y-intercept = -6
New equation with the same slope as the first equation and the same y-intercept as the second equation:
y = 2/5x - 6
Or you could also write it as:
5y = 2x - 30 if you multiplied each term by 5, or 2x - 5y = 30 if you rearranged the terms to be in the same order as the first equation was.

y=2/3x-7
You can write it either in standard form (ax + by = c) or in slope-intercept form (y = mx + b)
