LED's are DC voltage. Transformers are AC voltage. There is no positive or negative on AC voltage. You would need a diode to change the AC to DC, then there would be positive and negative voltages.

Do capacitors have positive and negative?

Some capacitors have terminals as they are polarized but some have not as they are not polarized. you can easily identify a polarized capacitor as it has + or - terminal indication marked.

Are the lights the have positive and negative sides?

In general electric lights are not polarized.

When positive and negative charges are sparated into different parts of an object the object is said to be?

polarized

What is capacitor polarized?

A polarized capacitor is one which has a polarity, positive on one terminal, negative on the other. This makes it superficially look like a battery. In use, the capacitor has its positive voltage always higher than that on the negative terminal, it matters that this is the case and this gives rise to the term polarized. This sort of capacitor is commonly found in power supply filters.

What type of welding machine does not have positive and negative terminal?

Transformer type welding machine

How do you derive negative sequence impedance of an earthing transformer for 11 KV delta connected 10 MVA source transformer?

Negative sequence and positive sequence are the same for a transformer. You would derive using the same connections as done to calculate the positive sequence impedance. Usually the test report will give positive, and often zero sequence impedances (sometimes left off, depending on the type of transformer as the zero sequence sometimes is the same as the positive sequence). The negative sequence is never given to my knowledge, because it is redundant and unnecessary test.

Dose a temeratur of -15 degries F correspond to a negative or to positive?

That little line sticking out on the left side of the '15' means it's a negative.

What is the polarity of Al and O?

Aluminum (Al) has a slight positive charge (polarized cation) and oxygen (O) has a slight negative charge (polarized anion), making the Al-O bond polar in nature.

When a neuron is in a resting state the majority of the particles in the fluid surrounding the neuron are?

Are tantalum capacitors polarized?

Yes, tantalum capacitors are polarized, which means they have a specific positive and negative terminal. Applying voltage in the wrong polarity can damage the capacitor. It is important to observe the correct orientation when installing tantalum capacitors to avoid failures.

When polarizing an object what happens to the charge in the object?

They separate, with positive charges on one side and negative charges on the other.

What happens when an object becomes polarized?

When an object becomes polarized, its molecules align in a way that creates positive and negative ends, leading to the separation of charges. This results in the object having a net dipole moment, making it capable of interacting with electric fields and other polarized objects. Magnetic materials can also become polarized, aligning their magnetic domains in a specific direction.
