Thats not that good, my IQ is 166 and I'm older than that child.
There's a lot of misunderstanding about IQ scores. They are NOT scores out of something. **If the tests are properly chosen and scored** they already take age into account (up to adulthood or age 15). A score of 100 is the average for the age-group. Usually the scoring is done in such a way that 50% of those taking it - in this case 50% of 13-year-olds - will get between 90 and 110, 75% between 85 and 115 and so on. Outside the range 85-115 one can either compress or expand the scores a little. However, 127 is a very high score.
hmmmm.. It seems to me that you are very bright and can make it in the real world.
Age is irrelevant. IQ tests take age into account so that ideally your IQ test score should stay about the same throughout your life.
Addendum: I'm pushing 140+ as an IQ and I'm a 13 year old male. If you got the results from an online test they are likely inaccurate. You can take IQ tests at city halls and such.
An IQ score of 122 is an above average IQ score. It is, thus, a good score.
yes
yes. IQ Score of 84 or lower is very few, same way to have an IQ of 116 or higher are the rarity of people.
Yes 122 is above average the average American IQ is 98
IQ is not age dependent, although 122 at any age is fairly good, and signifies a quicker-than-average mind.
Not if you want to be smart.
yes
If the boy's IQ is 122, then yes, 122 would be an IQ of an 11-year-old boy. It's an above average IQ with 100 being perfectly average.
her IQ is 122
IQ remains mostly constant over the course of one's life, so age is not a consideration. However, 122 is considered to be above average.
Yes. If you measure between 120-140 in an IQ test your are considered a genius! 100 is average and below 100 is under average. All in all, 122 is an especially good IQ score for a 6 year old child!
Good IQ tests, administered properly, are not age-dependent. An average IQ, by definition, is 100, so a score of 124, at any age, is well above average. Congratulations!
