The way you find a multiple of a number is by looking at all the number that equal it.

ex. 6: 6,12,18,24,30,36,42,48 and more on

multiples never stop but greatest common factors do.

Multiples are found by multiplying your number by successive counting numbers.

108 x 1 = 108

108 x 2 = 216

108 x 3 = 324

And so on forever. Since numbers don't stop, multiples don't stop either.
