If you want to know height, you can use a measuring stick or height chart so you can determine the actual height. There are height measuring tools available in hospitals or clinic. In addition, if you want to calculate the height percentile of a baby, you can use a baby height percentile calculator. Just enter the baby's birth date, gender and the actual height. From then on, you will determine and track your baby and or child's height growth.

you need to use inches for small real life objects, but for made up stuff, think of that object in your head, life size, and try to estimate. But for big real life objects, you can use meters, feet, etc.

There are actually many ways.

You could put up some tape on a closet door or something and then mark, centimeter by centimeter OR inch by inch from the very bottom to the highest you think you'll get.

Or, you could compare yourself to someone else.

Also, you can visit a doctor for checkups and measuring height is included.

Maybe you would want to pay 25 cents or so to get your height measured in any place that has a commercial height measurer.

Some places will do it for free, but I forget what it was called.

You can use a measuring tape.

You could spread your arms out, middle finger to middle finger measure the length and that's your height!
