It seems most likely to me that the ballast of the dim one is bad--metal halide bulbs aren't simply connected to the 120 V line voltage but need a "ballast" for several functions, including producing a high enough voltage to start them and regulating the current through them. If one was bad (or was designed for a different bulb), that would explain everything. One other possibility is that there's a wiring problem and either the dim one isn't getting a full 120 V, or the others are getting more than 120 V. If this is a three-phase commercial installations there are various ways to mis-wire things and get odd voltages; in a residential system, you'd pretty much either have 120 or 240, and the 240 would probably quickly overheat a ballast made for 120, so that doesn't sound likely.
Wide varieties of fixture are available for LED lights.
The standard height from the top of your table to the bottom of the light fixture above should be between 30"-36". Also the size of the fixture should be a little bit greater than 50% the width of the table itself.
In order to change any of the tail light bulbs in a Chevy Celebrity it is necessary to remove the light fixture: 1. Inside the trunk next to the quarter panel there are three nuts. Remove the center nut on the side you want to remove. It should line up with the center of the light fixture. 2. Pull the fixture out until the stud clears the body. 3. Pull gently outward to pull a tab out of the backup light fixture. 4. Unlock the appropriate socket and remove from the fixture. Change the light bulb and reassemble. ;:
In a metal halide light, the electricity heats a metal filament to a high temperature creating an extremely bright light. Metal ions burn off. A gas of the halide group (chlorine, bromine, iodine) reacts with the metal ions that have burned off and redeposit them on the filament. Because the filament is constantly being rebuilt, it can be brighter than a regular light bulb. Also it heats the gas to the point where the gasses give off light. So both the filament and the gasses give off light. With a mercury vapor light, mercury vapor is heated until it gives off ultraviolet light. The filament only serves to heat the mercury. It does not give off light. This light is used to excite phosphrus and other chemicals on the edge of the bulb. Those chemicals glow in the visible light spectrum. As a result, they illuminate.
A handyman fixes a lot of things, specifically things located in or around a house. They fix windows, toilets, light fixtures, painting, drywall and carpentry.
The mansion has gold-plated bathroom fixtures.
The fixture construction has nothing to do with the amount of energy that the fixture uses. It is the lamp in the fixture that draws the amperage. This amperage times the fixtures voltage is what gives you the fixtures wattage. W = A x V. Watts = Amps x Volts.

Types of lightning fixtures that can provide general ambient indoor are Chandelier, Ceiling mounted fixture, Wall-mounted fixture, Track light, Floor lamp, and table lamp.
It is a fixture that has a hermetical seal that keeps fumes and vapours from the electrical parts of the fixture. A good example of a vapour tight fixture is one that is used in paint spray booths. These types of fixtures are not to be confused with explosion proof fixtures which are in a different category altogether.
No, the fixtures do not have anything is common other that emitting light. If you are talking about removing the fluorescent fixture and installing a new fixture that can take a LED lamp then the answer is yes.
For the amperage of a metal halide fixture look for the nameplate which can be found on the side of the ballast. There it will tell you what the amperage of the fixture draws. Knowing what one fixture draws will allow you to size the lighting circuit for wire and breaker sizes.

A fixture or device that holds a light in place by means of some sort of socket, that is connected to a power source.
Some light fixture are configured for multi wattage bulbs but as a general rule of thumb only replace a bulb with the fixtures recommended bulb other wise there are serious safety issues including bulb explosion and fire.
The light bulb needs to match the ballast in the fixture.
Probably not. Sodium light fixtures generally have a "ballast".
