sss
if you have a FAT SSS showmaster you'd like to sell, please let me know: alexdenador@yahoo.com I think they originally sold for around $900 but I have bought 2 of them used for >$400 each... one is an HH and the other is a SSS. Mine have all standard hardware but some models came with custom hardware, such as a Floyd Rose and locking nut, which might increase the price. There were also a VERY few manufactured w/ a "Stratocaster" decal on the headstock which may also dramatically increase the price.
its the same yes. ============ Incorrect. Many pickup-selector switches are toggle switches, such as on a Gibson Les Paul. But many, many guitars have toggle switches that do not act as pickup selectors. For example, a Gretsch 6118 Anniversary has a toggle switch to activate a bassy tone circuit. A Brian May Guitar signature has toggle switches for phase options on the three Burns Tri-Sonic pickups, and separate toggles for on/off on the pickups. Some guitars have a toggle switch that activates a mid-boost or volume boost. "Toggle switch" is just a broad term for a family of switches that can serve a variety of functions. Not necessarily for pickup selection.
yes, Britney Spears cheated on Justin Timberlake!
HSS refers to the pickups. The standard Strat has three Single coil pickups, and would be designated SSS. The H in HSS implies that the bridge pickup is a Humbucker. This became popular because many players find that a single coil in the bridge position sounds too thin and sharp.
