If the sun wasn't there, then no.

The sun is very important to us (as well as our atmosphere) as it provides us with light and heat energy, helping crops and plants to grow.

This is why plants tend to stop growing during the winter, due to less solar energy and shorter daylight hours.

Plants require sunlight for photosynthesis, a process in which they convert light energy into chemical energy to fuel their growth. Without sunlight, plants would struggle to generate the necessary energy and may eventually die. While some plants can survive in low-light conditions, prolonged lack of sunlight would severely impact their health and growth.
