∙ 14y agoDo you mean a fixed length of 5 inch pipe or are you asking to the amount of laminar flow through a 5 inch pipe? There is not enough info here to answer.
Need length of pipe and what you are asking.

∙ 14y agoApproximately 0.425 gallons
First find the volume of the hose. We need to make sure the dimensions are in the same units. [I will choose inches, but we could just as easily use feet.] The length of the hose in inches is 50*12=600 inches. The radius of the hose equals one half the diameter, so the radius is 1/4 of an inch. The volume of a cylindrical prism is given by:
pi*radius2*length=pi*(1/4)2*600=125*pi/4 cubic inches, or approximately 98.2 cubic inches.
One cubic inch is approximately .00433 gallons, so:
98.2 cubic inches = 98.2 cubic inches*.00433 gallons/cubic inch=0.425 gallons
So there are approximately 0.425 gallons of water in the hose.
A half inch diameter hose holds about 0.1 gallons of water per foot. So, a 50-foot long half inch diameter hose would hold around 5 gallons of water.

∙ 14y agoA 100-foot section of 5-inch hose contains: 102 US gallons.
To convert feet of water line to gallons, you need the volume of the water line. The volume of a 2-inch diameter water line is about 0.0107 gallons per foot. So, 1000 feet of 2-inch water line would be approximately 10.7 gallons.
To calculate the volume of water in a pipe, first convert the diameter to feet (28 inches = 2.33 feet). Then use the formula for the volume of a cylinder (V = πr^2h) where r = radius (half the diameter) and h = height. For a 2.33-foot diameter pipe and 1 foot height, the volume is roughly 17.19 gallons of water per foot.
There are approximately 15,923.63 gallons of water in 2131 cubic feet.
8,000 gallons of water is equal to approximately 1,069 cubic feet.
There are 7,985.76 gallons of water in a 1799.5 cubic feet pool.
There are 907.9202769 feet2 of water, but you will have to convert that into gallons.
44,912.4 gallons of water per 4,300 feet.
280 gallons of water.
A cylinder 50 feet in height and 6 inches in diameter can hold up to 73.44 gallons of water.
4745 gallons Best estimate I have.
A cylinder that is 18 feet long and has an inside diameter of 4 feet has a volume of about 1,692 US gallons of water.
It is approx 5895891 US gallons.
Approx 1105480 US gallons.
29,610.94 gallons (rounded)
45.9 US gallons.
If 24 inches is the diameter, there are 141,004 gallons of water. If 24 inches is the radius, there are 564,018 gallons of water.
615,142 gallons of water are needed to fill this cylinder.
