The magnitude of 9000000 is 9,000,000.
The measure of energy released by an earthquake depends on its magnitude. If its a high magnitude earthquake, there is a lot of energy. If there is a low magnitude, then there is little energy.
Another word for an earthquake's strength is magnitude. Magnitude is a measure of the size of the seismic waves produced by an earthquake.
the absolute magnitude is 0.48 <(-.-<)
Three factors that affect range estimation are visibility conditions (such as fog or smoke), the size and shape of the target object, and the experience/training level of the individual making the estimation.
An estimation of the absolute magnitude is −20.9. See related question.
You could try estimation to get an idea of the magnitude of the answer.
Magnitude estimation worksheets can be found on educational websites, teaching resource platforms like Teachers Pay Teachers, and sites dedicated to math resources such as Math-Aids.com. Additionally, many educational publishers offer downloadable worksheets that can be used for practicing this concept. You can also find resources by searching for specific grade levels or topics related to magnitude estimation on search engines.
The way I really understand it, is that its estimating by the highest place value, not a very close estimation, but still around the number.
A reasonable estimate will give an indication of the order of magnitude of the number. The order of magnitude is determined by the decimal point and so knowing the order can help in placing it.

If an estimation, or estimate, is a guess, an approximate estimation is a rougher guess.
What is the estimation 328000
Estimating help determine the order of magnitude of the answer. It is, therefore, a simple matter to place the decimal point is such a way that the order of magnitude of the calculated answer matches that of the estimate.
Order of magnitude refers to the scale or size of a quantity, expressed as a power of ten. It provides a way to compare the relative size of numbers, indicating how many times larger or smaller one value is than another. For example, an increase from 10 to 100 represents an order of magnitude increase, while a change from 100 to 1,000 represents another order of magnitude increase. This concept is often used in scientific notation and estimation to simplify calculations and comparisons.
