∙ 14y agoSecretariat. He won the Triple Crown in 1973 after a 25 year beak since Citation won it in 1948. Secretariat won the Belmont Stakes by 31 lengths, had a final time for one mile and a half of 2:24 flat, which beacame and still stands as a world record. He set track records in all three of the Triple Crown races, but the Preakness Stakes because the timer malfunctioned. He won the Eclipse award for Horse of the year in 1972 and 1973. He was the first ever to win the Horse of the Year Award as a two year old. He was second in the Blood-Horse Magazine Top Racehorses of the 20th century, behind only the mighty Man O' War. No horse has ever been able to repeat his win in the Belmont Stakes.

∙ 14y agoThe fastest horse that ever lived was named Carbine. He was very fast and could beat Phar Lap easily!!! He was so fast, he could nearly keep up with one of today's V8 cars!
