∙ 10y agoBecause when you convert to a larger unit, you know that you will wind up with
less of them, and if you divide by a number greater than ' 1 ', then the quotient
is always a smaller number than you started with.

It is not possible to convert surface area, which is measured in square meters, to kilograms as they are different units of measurement. Surface area is a measure of the total area of a surface, while kilograms are a measure of mass.
A gallon is a unit of measurement used for volume, typically in the United States. There are no decimals in a gallon as it is a whole number measurement.
To convert micrograms per gram to percent, you can divide the micrograms by 10,000 to convert to milligrams per gram, and then divide that value by 10 to convert to percent. For example, if you have 500 μg/g, you would divide 500 by 10,000 to get 0.05 mg/g, and then divide 0.05 by 10 to get 0.005%, which is equivalent to 500 μg/g.
The weight of 1 inch of aluminum can vary depending on the thickness and density of the aluminum alloy being used. On average, 1 cubic inch of aluminum weighs about 0.0979 pounds or approximately 0.0444 kilograms.
You can't convert a pure number - a number without a measurement - to a measurement. It just doesn't make sense. You can convert one measurement to another measurement, if both measurements are of the same type (for example, a length to a length).
That does not make any sense because a ton is a measurement of weight and a square meter measures a flat area.
It makes sense to multiply when converting measurements to smaller units because it takes many smaller units to make up a larger unit. So in order to translate larger unit(s) into smaller units, you have to break up the larger unit(s) into many smaller pieces.

You can not compare or convert units for different types of measurement. In this case you're trying to convert a unit of distance into a unit of area. It's like asking how many days go into purple. The units have to fit together to make sense.
That question makes no sense.
-- number -- unit
That doesn't really make sense; you might convert from centinewtons to newtons, or from centinewtons/decitex to newton/decitex. In both cases, you would have to divide by 100.
mph is a measurement of speed. 150cc is a measurement of volume. That question doesn't make sense.
-- number -- unit
This question makes no sense. An absolute measurement cannot approach anything as it is just one measurement that measures the exact thing that it is measuring.
7.3/12.5 = 18.3? (no it doesnt) 7.3/31.3 =18.3? "" no it doesnt really make any sense
