I believe that your question was actually 5+8(4+4)+12(6+6). The answer to that would be 25. Also, if you were having trouble with that problem, than you should of clarified what you typed to make sure you understood the problem. Plus, if the problem I answered for yo was not the one you were looking for, than perhaps you should type your questions a bit more easier to understand. Have fun with math!
p=10/3 or 3.33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333
To solve for p, set up the equation 5p + 9 = p - 3 5p = p - 12 4p = -12 p = -3 to prove the answer, substitute -3 for p and prove 5(-3) + 9 = (-3) -3 -15 + 9 = -6 -6 = -6

6
15 + 3 = 7p - 4p ie 18 = 3p so p = 6
4p + 6 = 2 4p = -4 (subtracting 6 from both sides) p = -1 (dividing both sides by 4)
==>-3p+7=5-8p+6 ==>5p+7=11 ==>5p=4 ==>p=4/5
Expanding and Grouping! 6(p-7) - 5p + 15 + 3p + 2(4) = ?? 6p - 42 - 5p + 15 + 3p + 8 = ?? 6p - 5p + 3p = 42 - 8 - 15 (Remember, what you do to one side, you do to the other. To get rid of -42, you have to add 42 on each side. To get rid of +8, you have to subtract 8 on each side, and so on.) 4p = 19 p = 4.75 Tadah! I love math, So much better than english.

7p + 2 = 5p + 8 7p - 5p = 8 - 2 2p = 6 p = 3

p=-3
The equation 45p take away 6p equals too 5p plus 4. This is taught in math.
5p+18 = 8p Subtract 5p from both sides: 18 = 3p Divide both sides by 3: 6 = p or as p = 6
15 + 3 = 7p - 4p ie 18 = 3p so p = 6
